ISPR Committees 2004-2007





Executive Committee

The Constitution of ISPR specifies that: "The affairs of the Society shall be controlled by an Executive Committee, consisting of the officers and 12 area representatives". In practice the day to day business of the Society is conducted by the officers (the President, Past-President, Secretary, Treasurer).


The logogram from PS2004 Montréal shows a large sun with 13 rays each of which points to a maple leaf. The 13 rays represent the XIIIth International Congress on Photosynthesis, and the 13 Provinces and Territories of Canada.

Meeting Program Committee

"The Meeting Program Committee shall be responsible for organizing the program for the triennial meeting of the Society. The Committee shall be co-chaired by the Past-President and meeting site Host. The Committee will consist of six other members, two from each of the three geographical areas as selected by the Executive Committee." The Committee for PS2007 Glasgow is:

 Publications Committee

"The Publications Committee shall be responsible for any publications produced or sponsored by the Society. The Committee shall consist of six members. Three members of the Committee will be appointed by each incoming President to a term of six years." The current Committee is:

 Nominating Committee
"There shall be a Nominating Committee consisting of the Past-President as Chairman, and three other members."
